Levels of Charge

Photographs available on Kirklandphotos.com are accessed at three levels – as Royalty Free Photographs, as Rights Managed Photographs or as Exclusive Purchase Photographs.

Royalty Free Images

A Royalty Free photograph is an image that carries no copyright restrictions
beyond the initial purchase. Once purchased, it may be used , though only by the buyer,
without limitation.
The cost of a Royalty Free Photograph ordered through Kirklandphotos.com is AUD$250.

Rights Managed Images

A Rights Managed Photograph has copyright restrictions and may only be used for the purpose, and under the terms of agreement, specified in a written agreement issued by Kirklandphotos.com

The average cost of a Rights Managed Photograph ranges from AUD$250 to AUD$400, however, this price can rise significantly depending on the use of the image.

Exclusive Rights Images

An Exclusive Purchase Photograph is an image on Kirklandphotos.com which is purchased exclusively for the use of a particular buyer.
It cannot be sold or used elsewhere. Some photographs can cost as much as AUD$12,000.
Access to Exclusive Purchase Photographs is by private negotiation with David Kirkland.

Conditions

All purchases are the subject of a written License Agreement between Kirklandphotos.com and the purchaser which clearly states the image remains the property of David Kirkland,which image has been purchased, and how it will be used. Any usage of the photograph beyond what has been authorised in the original License Agreement becomes the subject of a new Licensing agreement .
The License Agreement must be signed and returned to Kirklandphotos.com before the photograph may be used.
