SMALL BUSINESS ASSISTANCE

David has spent more than 15 years in the tourism industry - 10 of which he spent either managing or consulting to tourism authorities in Australia, the South Pacific and South-east Asia. During that time he has been closely involved in the development of both small and large scale indigenous tourism enterprises.

It's likely the experience David has accumulated working at an executive level with both governments and the private sector throughout this period, as well as the skills he has acquired - particularly in marketing, would be a valuable resource to a young indigenous enterprise.

Having moved into the private sector to create his own business more than five years ago, David is well aware of the challenges that face small business and he would be prepared to work with indigenous enterprises to strengthen their businesses, assuming it contributed to the preservation, promotion and protection of their local traditional culture.

The nature of the assistance may range from providing advice on national and international promotion, new product development, collateral production and publishing, to working with the enterprise to develop commercially viable publications aimed at both promoting and generating additional income for the business (Refer: Joint Venture Opportunities).

While there are likely to be costs involved, David would be prepared to waive his AUD$1,000 a day fee, to assist in this endeavor – assuming it was likely to deliver tangible outcomes in keeping with the objectives of this foundation.
