"We have created Frontier Publications for one simple reason – we want to make beautiful travel books and souvenir publications. We are motivated by the idea of producing exquisite publications people will be proud to have in their home."
- David Kirkland
To date, David has published 14 books and produced a stable of photographic souvenir publications on many of the destinations he has photographed. His flagship publications include The Pocket Guide series of Australian tourism regions, a coffee table book on Papua New Guinea, a pictorial souvenir book range and his gift book series of destinations in the South Pacific.
LATEST PROJECT: Reflections of Samoa
In 2010, David will launch Frontier Publications, a boutique publishing house specialising in the making of beautiful travel books and souvenir publications worldwide. Reflections of Samoa (below) will be the new company's first major publication, a project which will be written and photographed over a three years period.

Dreamtime - Tribute to an Ancient Culture
David is working on his most ambitious project to date. Titled Dreamtime - Tribute to an Ancient Culture, the full colour coffee table book will be an uplifting record of a fascinating culture in transition, a compilation of the very best of David's images of Aboriginal culture, photographed during his travels in remote parts of Australia. The book will will contain more than 100 photographs and 20 short stories which will reflect the richness and dignity of Aboriginal culture and reveal the common thread of humanity that runs through us all.
Importantly, it will record aspects of this rich and, sadly, disappearing traditional culture for future generations (a preview of this book can be downloaded to your desktop through either the e-book section or the Kirkland Foundation section of this site).
